Come on Irene!

…I know it’s Come on Eileen, but Irene seems more fitting 🙂 While the East Coast is preparing for the wrath of Hurricane Irene, I have been charging my computer (like i’m supposed to) and finding my favorite things.  I can’t let Friday go by without sharing some the things that have my interest.

Friday Favorites:

1. Pretty Pink and flowy dress from etsy.com – it was sold out of course, but i’m going to be checking back on this site for unique hand-made dresses!  The color and the femininity of this dress are right up my alley.

2. Inspiration for a future outfit.  Jeans + striped tee + belt + long necklace = classic! I just realized I have a striped tee and jeans and a brown belt, so easy!

3. Big flowers in little jars. Empty jelly jars, old cups….this is one of my favorite ways to hold flowers.  Reminds me of my mom too!

4. I know I don’t have kids, YET! But, I found a future Halloween outfit for my poor child! Maybe my obsession with coffee and starbucks has gone too far….but look how cute! I had to document this so I don’t forget.

5. Liquor Rack – Ian and I don’t have an apartment to do this yet, but I love the antique and rustic feel of this liquor cabinet….we actually don’t even drink a lot of that stuff, but I could see this being nice for entertaining.

AND! A Bonus fav! Don’t you think they should add this button to Facebook???  haha

Wish me and Ian luck in surviving Hurricane Irene — we have stocked up on the essentials and made all necessary pre-cautions. So all that’s left is hoping for the best!

  1. OH BRI!! What an upper of a blog tonight! LOVED IT ALL! Esp. the Halloween outfit HOW PERFECT!!! And the clothes are beautiful and I do the same thing with flowers you and your Mom do, esp. tea cups. Ian use to bring home tea cups from the TUPPER FLEA MARKET (ask him about them!) each year – he and Andrew use to love to go…they would get such a kick out of what they saw… but I used the tea cups for flowers too. Thank you for such a fun site today. Really great fun!

    • OH I forgot…. we have a old trunk in storage that with a little work could very easily become that cabinet, in fact it is that big, you would just need the stand it is on… will keep that in mind for you when we go through and THROW out junk from the storage unit next month!

Sweetie! I loved your uplifting blog today! Fun and sorta “shabby chicish” if I must say so myself! Hang in there with Irene! A weekend you will most likely never forget! Love you! I am just so thankful you and Ian will be together this weekend!
